On January 13th, 2025, the working group of pollution prevention standards for electrical and electronic products in China issued an explanatory notice on the coordinated implementation of the two standards, namely, Requirements for Labeling of Hazardous Substances Restricted in Electrical and Electronic Products (SJ/T11364-2024) and Requirements for Limited Substances in Electronic and Electrical Products (GB/T26572-2011).
Standard implementation date
★ Requirements for Labeling of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (SJ/T 11364-2024) will be implemented on April 1, 2025;
★ Amendment No.1 of the Limited Requirements for Substances in Electronic and Electrical Products (GB/T 26572-2011) will be implemented on January 1, 2026;
It is recommended that relevant enterprises make full preparations, and the above two standards will be implemented simultaneously from January 1, 2026 at the latest.

Compared with SJ/T11364-2014, the main technical changes of SJ/T11364-2024 are as follows:
1, the standard name and scope of application update.
The standard name has been changed from "Requirements for Labeling the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" to "Requirements for Labeling the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products", and the product application scope has been changed to "Electrical and Electronic Products", which are consistent with the product application scope of laws and regulations on the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products in China.
2, the types of harmful substances increased (normative appendix A)
Four kinds of phthalates were added:
◆ Di (2- ethyl) hexyl phthalate (DEHP)
◆ Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)
◆ Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)
◆ Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
The total number has been expanded to 10, which is consistent with the scope of substances controlled by RoHS regulations of the European Union.
3. Addition, deletion and modification of terms
◆ Terms such as "electrical and electronic products" and "logo" have been added;
◆ Terms such as "recycling" and "logistics" have been deleted;
◆ Terms such as "harmful substances" and "environmental protection service life" have been modified;
4. Requirements for addition and deletion of identification methods and information preservation
◆ The identification method of product production date has been deleted;
◆ Add identification methods and requirements for using QR codes (Article 6.4);
◆ The requirement of supporting web pages as logo carriers has been added (Article 6.6);
◆ Requirements for the preservation of names of harmful substances and supporting documents containing information tables in electrical and electronic products have been added (Article 7);
